Danielle Kurin's profile

Humankind through UCSB Anthropology

California anthropologist Danielle Kurin, PhD, has extensive experience studying the ancient histories and cultures of Latin America’s indigenous peoples. Dr. Danielle Kurin is a former assistant professor and later tenured associate professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she taught anthropology.

The department is made up of faculty whose focus is on sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, and integrative anthropological sciences (cultural, biological, and evolutionary), as well as teaching students who will earn degrees in these fields. To support this educational mission, faculty and students engage in a rigorous study involving diverse research and teaching.

One of the ways that the Department of Anthropology assists students with their education is through donated funds that are used to create scholarships, professor and fellowship opportunities, technological advances, and research in the discipline itself. Moreover, these gifts make it possible to attract and retain standout students committed to studying human existence.

Standard gift amounts range from $50 to $10,000, but donors are free to choose exactly how much they want to give. For more information on supporting this department, please visit https://giving.ucsb.edu/Funds/Give?id=10.
